You can claim Universal Credit online – www.gov.uk\/apply-universal-credit<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can claim, follow the steps outlined below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can claim UC online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you have to make a claim for Universal Credit, then any delay in making the claim could mean that you will miss out on money that you are entitled to. In very limited cases, the DWP will allow up to one month of backdating on a new Universal Credit claim after you submit it. Otherwise, you can only receive an award of Universal Credit from the date you click the \u2018submit claim\u2019 button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you need help with your application, ask straight away \u2013 the sooner you apply for Universal Credit, the sooner you\u2019ll get your first payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
