This is called your \u2018claimant commitment\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you are expected to do will depend on your circumstances, such as your health, your caring responsibilities and whether or not you are working at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be put into one of four conditionality groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No work related requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work focused interviews only<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to undertake some work related activity and attend Work Focused Interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All work related requirements group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"http:\/\/ucpages.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/iStock-2184839231-edited-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15763\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9;object-fit:cover\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ucpages.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/iStock-2184839231-edited-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ucpages.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/iStock-2184839231-edited-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ucpages.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/iStock-2184839231-edited-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ucpages.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/iStock-2184839231-edited-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/ucpages.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/iStock-2184839231-edited-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if you are working, you are still put into one of these conditionality groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are earning &#8216;enough&#8217; i.e. you are earning above a certain amount &#8211; referred to as your Conditionality Earnings Threshold, then you will be in the &#8216;no work related requirements&#8217; group and you will not be expected to look for other work or undertake any work related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Conditionality Earnings Threshold will be the monthly equivalent of the number of hours you are expected to work each week multiplied by the minimum wage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are earning less than this, then you will be in one of the other groups and either expected to attend regular Work Focused Interview, and\/or undertake work related activities and\/or look for another job \/ more hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you fail to do what is asked of you, then you can be sanctioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you think you are in the wrong group or you would like more information about what you can be asked to do, then speak to a Benefits Adviser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Generally, you will be expected to do certain things in order to receive Universal Credit.
